How It Works

Step 1 — Choose Your Share

Choose the share size that best fits your household.

12-Chicken Share
A great option for smaller households or families who want to begin sourcing more of their meat directly from a local farm.

25-Chicken Share — Most Popular
A dependable freezer supply for families who regularly cook chicken and want to make locally raised meat a bigger part of their family’s meals.

50-Chicken Share
Designed for larger families, homesteaders, and households looking to source a significant portion of their chicken directly from the farm.

Step 2 — Reserve Your Chickens

Your CSA membership is paid in full when you join.

That purchase reserves your family’s share of the flock and helps fund the season’s production—including chicks, feed, pasture management, and the other costs involved in raising your food.

It’s one of the things that makes a CSA different from simply buying chicken at the grocery store: farmer and customer become partners in the season.

Step 3 — We Raise Your Chickens

Then it’s our turn.

Throughout the season, we raise your chickens here on our homestead, moving them regularly to fresh pasture and providing quality organic and non-GMO feed.

We’ll do the daily work of caring for the flock while you get the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly where your family’s food is being raised.

Step 4 — Fill Your Freezer

Once the chickens are ready, they are processed and packaged for freezer storage in heat-shrink freezer bags.

We’ll communicate pickup details with CSA members before processing dates so you’ll know when and where to pick up your family’s share.

Then it’s time to stock the freezer.

How are the chickens packaged?

Can I visit the farm?

Absolutely.

Transparency is one of the reasons we raise food this way. We welcome opportunities for our CSA families to learn more about the farm and see how their food is raised.

Because the farm is also our family home, we simply ask that visits be arranged with us in advance.
